Fish Jumping Over an Island – Playblast & Still Images

These are four of my final rendered still images of my rigged fish in my environment. As you can see I went with an island vibe. The idea to do an island and fish came from the first project when I did the ball drop and I created a pearl bouncing. You can see you can get an idea of what I would have liked my final animation video to look like. I had to open the pictures in photoshop to correct some brightness and contrast. Overall I’m very proud of the environment, the Island setting I created. On the other hand I’m not thrilled with my fish. It’s very basic due to time constraints but I’m happy with the overall shape of it and I used the sculpting tool as well as moved a few vertexes. I used the sculpting tool to give my island some realistic styled sand mounds. I used photoshop to brighten the sand as well. I modeled the palm tree and used edge loops to build the trunk.

As you can see my playblast is very short. I tried to extend it to at least 20 seconds but I could only get it to play for 5 seconds. Maybe one day I can model my fish a little more and make a HQ animation video.

This project took up a lot of my time and I struggled to complete it. It is not perfect but it’s the best I could do.  I struggled with making the handles to tea cup and pitchers. The detailing is not as great as I would have wanted. I wanted to make the pieces in a way that you could see inside them. But in the end I’m content with what I’ve made.

Mondrian Animation

After running into multiple obstacles I was able to produce something that I’m proud of.  I originally forgot to put in key-frames and had to incorporate that into the final product. I had to work with lights multiple times.  Further mistakes where made as my video would have been way to short so I used the camera to circle around the Mondrian. In the end while it is not perfect or nearly as crisp as I wanted it to be I am proud of what I produced.
